Green Smoothie - Cilantro Mint Cucumber & Apple





This week is the best time of the year when one has to detox.  Your gut need to take a break from the high calorie binging and excessive alcohol intake you had over the Christmas and New Year Holidays.  

I am not saying that you cut off some food groups from your diet for a month, what I am saying is that eat something healthy.  Reduce your fat, sugar, cholesterol, and sodium intake.  

You can start with a green smoothie breakfast like this :




     GREEN SMOOTHIE: 
          CILANTRO-MINT-CUCUMBER-APPLE

Ingredients :
Cucumber, diced -  1 medium
Apple, diced - 1 medium
Cilantro - a handful
Mint - a handful
Pineapple juice, unsweetened - 250 ml
Honey - 2 tsp


Preparation :

Place all the ingredients in a blender and press pulse until all the ingredients are blended smoothly.

Add ice cubes or use a chilled pineapple juice if you want something cold
