Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

As promised ;-) here's my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

I'm into baking cookies this days and I started exploring other simple recipes like this oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.  I've always wanted my cookie to be something that is soft not tough.  My husband does too. I was able to make this a bit soft but not as soft as I wanted it to be but my husband did like it.  It's chewy that your teeth will sink nicely in it.

This recipe is a keeper.  Try it :-)


Ingredients :
All Purpose Flour - 1 c. + 3 tbsp
Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp  
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Vanilla Powder- 1/2 tsp

Granulated White Sugar - 1/4 c
Dark Brown Sugar - 1/2
Corn Oil - 1/2

Eggs - 2 medium 
Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips - 1/2 c
Oatmeal - 1 1/2 c

Baking Procedure :
Baking Temperature : 180OC    
Baking Time - 6 to 7 minutes    
Yields:  more than 1 1/2 dozens (depending on the size of the cookies)

1.  Mix dry ingredients together and set aside.  
2.  Mix the oatmeal with the dry ingredients.
3.  Preheat oven to 180OC    
4.  Using a fork, mix sugars, and oil
5.  Beat in egg until it is homogenous.  

6.  Mix in the dry ingredients until they are well-incorporated. 
7.  Fold in the chocolate chips.
8.  Using a spoon or an icecream scoop, scoop out dough and place it on a pan lined with wax or parchment paper.  
9.  Bake  for 6 to 7 minutes at 180OC or until the sides of the cookies are browning.
