Cabbage Slaw

My husband made kinilaw na balat ng baboy so I decided to have something healthy to go with it.  Too much food indulgence, sweets, fatty foods, junk foods, including alcohol literally almost ruined my first day of the year.  I was wasted and had alcohol hangover.  

Anyway, here's my version of cabbage slaw :-)    not so healthy though because i didn't use a low fat mayo.

     CABBAGE SLAW

Ingredients:

Cabbage, thinly chopped – 100 g.
Carrots, chopped – 50 g.
Onion, chopped – 1 medium
Tomato Catsup – 3 tbsp
Mayonnaise – 4 tbsp
Salt and pepper to taste


Preparation:

1. Blanch cabbage and carrots with hot water.  Drain well.  Add the onion and mix well.
2.  Mix tomato catsup, mayonnaise, salt, and ground black pepper.
3.  Add catsup-mayonnaise dressing to the cabbage-carrots.  Mix well.

Chill it in the fridge for an hour before serving.

Makes 4 servings.  Below is the estimated nutritional values per serving based on the ingredients used.
