Easy Sweet Pizza Sauce

This is a sweet type of tomato based sauce suited to please the sweet palate of Filipinos.   It’s almost similar to the sweet sauce of the Pinoy spaghettie. I am not really fond of sweet sauces (unless they are made for desserts) but my husband wanted a pizza with pineapple as toppings so I came up with this sauce as I needed something that will enhance the sweetness of the pineapple and complement the flavor of the other toppings.

Ingredients:

Tomato Paste – 80 g.
Water – 1 cup
Sugar - 3 tbsp
Salt and Pepper to taste

 Cooking Procedure:

1. Mix all the ingredients on a pan.
2. Stir  continuously under low heat making sure the the ingredients blended thoroughly.
3. Simmer the sauce until it is thick
If the thickness is not enough, add 1 tsp of cornstarch dissolved in a small amount of water
Apply on your pizza crust and top with your favorite toppings

Can be used on two 9-inch or three 8- inch diameter pizza crust.  Each crust can be sliced into 8. Here’s the estimated Nutritional values of sauce per a slice of pizza based on the ingredients used.
