Cocoa-Milk Drink Spiked with Rum


It’s a cold Sunday afternoon, I wanted to sleep but sleep eludes me.  So I decided to give myself a little booze and induce myself to sleep. It was futile though.  My alcoholic cocoa-milk drink was good though, it gave me a soothing and comforting feeling.  It’s good enough and lesser expensive substitute for Baileys.  I need to add cream next time and instead of rum, I’ll use vodka or dry gin.

Ingredients:

Full Cream Milk - 250 ml
Cocoa Powder, Dutch processed – 1 tbsp
Sugar, granulated – 2 tsp
Rum – 2 tbsp or as desired
Cold Water – 100 ml

Preparation :

1. Heat full cream milk but do not boil. Stir in cocoaa powder and sugar.  Stir until the cocoa is dissolved completely.
2.  Add the cold water and Stir.

serve with ice cubes or as is.

Makes 1 glass (1 serving) . Here’s the estimated Nutritional values per serving
