Orange-Oolong tea

Here’s another oolong tea drink mixture.  This time with orange.  I used the freshly squeezed juice of one orange and it’s rind.

This high in antioxidants warm drink helps me relieve my running nose and flu.  On top of that, it  aids in the digestion of food but also in achieving weight loss  (See The Health Benefits of Oolong Tea  and A Touch of Health with Orange

Here’s my recipe which is good for 1 serving

Ingredients:

Oolong tea leaves – 1 tbsp

Hot water – 250 ml

Honey – 1 tsp

Freshly squeezed orange juice from 1 whole fruit

Orange rind – zest a 1 whole fruit

Ice cubes *** optional



Procedure :

1)      Steep the oolong tea leaves in boiling hot water for 5 minutes.  Let cool then take out the leaves.

2)      Add the rest of the ingredients

Makes 1 servings . Here’s the estimated Nutritional values per serving based on the ingredients used.

Calories :  96.9 kcal Total Fat:   0.2 g.
Cholesterol :  0 mg. Saturated fat : 0 g.
Protein :  1.46 g Dietary fiber :  3.72 g.
